Bayside Church International was birthed in mid-2002 as a joint venture between two churches in Adelaide’s southern suburbs. From small and humble beginnings in a high school drama room, Bayside has enjoyed consistent growth over the years, in the size of our congregation, the strength of our reputation and the scope of our services and ministry influence. Our logo depicts the historical and picturesque ‘Encounter Bay’ in Victor Harbor, one of the many iconic landmarks of our region. In 2011, Bayside established a permanent home-base by renovating a large warehouse in one of Victor Harbor’s industrial estates; providing us with the region’s largest contemporary church auditorium. ‘Pioneering pastors’, Chad & Jaye Mansbridge, describe Bayside as an independent Christian Church with a contemporary expression, a charistmatic theology, and a clear committment to following Jesus, and filling the earth with His love, truth and life.
Chad & Jaye Mansbridge are the pioneering leaders of Bayside,where they were ordained at 23 years of age, and today continue to serve as the Lead Pastors. They reside in Encounter Bay with their four gorgeous children, and are long-time locals of the Southern Fleurieu region. In 2010 Chad published his first book “He Qualifies You!”, and recently founded i5812 Ministries in order to support the growing demand for their ministry worldwide. Chad is a dynamic teacher of God’s Word, known for his ability to communicate profound truth with great clarity and simplicity. Both he and Jaye are regularly invited to speak at schools, churches and conferences throughout Australia and overseas. Together with Chad & Jaye, Bayside is served by a faithful team of local leaders, who share a passion and devotion for the vision and mission of our church family.
From a denominational perspective, Bayside is an independent Christian Church. However, we are certainly not independent in the way we go about life and ministry! We believe strongly in authentic relationship and meaningful partnership, and acknowledge the great importance of associating and aligning ourselves with others of ‘like heart, mind, and purpose’. Members of Bayside Church reside on the Southern Fleurieu Peninsula, approximately an hour south of Adelaide, in South Australia. One of the fastest growing regional areas in the nation, the Fleurieu is a premier tourist destination nestled between the world famous wine-producing Adelaide Hills and the popular sandy beaches of the south coast. There truly is ‘no place like home’! In 2011, Bayside Church renovated a large and centrally-located warehouse in Victor Harbor, situated in one of the city’s growing industrial estates. It is here our offices are located and from which our Sunday Worship Services, and many of our events, programs and services to our local community are based.
