Victory around us cannot compensate for compromise within us. After Jericho comes Ai. Israel experiences defeat because of what has happened within the camp. Jesus doesn’t simply call us to external victory. Jesus transforms us from the inside out. We are saved by grace, and grace is so good it also changes how we live.
